Hitendra Patel, PhD
Dr. Hitendra Patel is the Managing Director of the IXL Center and Chair of the Innovation and Growth Program at the Hult International Business School. He has coached new emerging leaders and managers of new and fast growth businesses.
Hitendra was a senior leader and co-founder of Monitor Group’s Innovation Practice and was responsible for Asia and Latin America. Prior to Monitor, he was a senior manager at Arthur D. Little. As a management consultant, he has made lasting impact with all types of companies by helping them identify new engines for growth and develop their own capacity to innovate.
Hitendra has also helped and published articles at the national and region level on the topic of economic development in Brazil, India, Indonesia, Singapore, US and the UK.
Prior to consulting, Hitendra worked at Motorola in the portable energy space and is the owner of six patents. He is also a founder of various venture-backed companies.
Hitendra is the co-author of 101 Innovation Breakthroughs, The State of Innovation at the Firm Level in Singapore, and Greenovate, Companies Innovating to Create a More Sustainable World. His most recent book, Connectivate! was published on May 2012. It talks about how companies have innovated in a more connected world to become Always Available. He is now working on his fifth book—Thinking and Acting Differently to Make Innovation Real.
Ron’s specialties are the strategic management of innovation, technology and R&D to create and capture maximum value. With degrees in Economics and Engineering Systems from Princeton University where he also received his Master’s Degree in Architecture and Design, Ron Jonash has led numerous executive leadership and development programs at major companies and has been a visiting lecturer at Rice, Wharton, Tufts, and Columbia universities and the Hult International Business School.
Dr. Rao teaches extensively in the Babson Executive Education programs. His executive teaching and consulting is in the areas of innovation, implementation of innovation initiatives within firms, corporate entrepreneurship and customer experience innovation. Dr. Rao also teaches 2 elective courses in the Babson MBA programs – (1) Leading Innovation: Gorillas, Chimps & Monkeys and (2) #CX #UX #DX Innovation.
His research has appeared in The Sloan Management Review, Journal of Innovative Management, The European Business Review, The European Financial Review, Cornell Hotel and Restaurant Administration Quarterly and others. He is the author of the book “The Discipline and Culture of Innovation.” He has written several business cases on a range of topics: Innovation Strategy, Innovation Culture, Leading Innovation, Customer Service, and Strategy Execution.
Through Babson Executive Education he has taught for BBVA, Assa Abloy Americas, Novartis, Fresinius Medical Care, Pernod Ricard USA, Covidien, BAE Systems, U.S. Navy, SABIC, Citizens Bank, Merck, Masco Corp., Scottish Enterprise, Innovation Norway, North Atlantic Capital, EMC, GlaxoSmithKline, and others.

He also has a family-business background and sits on the board of Hymamshu (Bangalore, India).
Partha Ghosh is a renowned Management Consultant and Policy Advisor with an extensive record of solving strategic, operational and complex organizational issues in technology-based industries. He has a proven track record across various cultures both at macro and micro economic levels, gained through extensive consulting engagements in the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, and Europe. He is currently in an advisory role with multiple organizations worldwide, and runs his own boutique advisory firm Partha S Ghosh & Associates focused on policy and strategic issues. Previously, Ghosh was a partner at McKinsey & Company.
In the last thirty years as a professional consultant to corporations and governments, he has been involved in a broad spectrum of engagements, primarily focusing on strategic and policy issues in technology based industries specifically in the energy & chemicals industry. His strategic problem solving work has included global strategy development, innovation and change management, and re-structuring / re-engineering of major companies in Japan, Asia and North & South America.
In various leadership forums, he has chaired committees focused on state-of-the-art issues related to management and governance. On specific courses /projects he has been active at MIT and Harvard University on strategic management /policy design and leadership issues, and more recently with Tufts University on Globalization & Innovation. Ghosh has two advanced degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he studied from 1975 to 1977. He holds Master’s Degrees in (i) Chemical Engineering with emphasis on New Energy Systems & Biotechnologies, and (ii) Business Administration a joint program with Harvard Business School with concentrations in Finance, Information Technology, and International Business. Ghosh was a Rotary Foundation Fellow. He earned his Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering with honors at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kharagpur, India, and won the Institute medal as Number One graduating student of his class.
As an inspiring public speaker and a compelling writer, Ghosh has delivered more than one hundred keynote addresses in significant leadership forums organized by prestigious universities, industry associations, and joint business councils.
Benjamin Sywulka has a B.S. In Stanford University’s symbolic systems, an MBA and a Master’s in Finance from Hult International Business School. He has been a speaker at science and technology events, guest-teacher in schools and universities, a motivational speaker among youth groups. He has taught various courses related to web design, open source software implementation and video production, and he has facilitated innovation workshops with Fortune 500 customers.
Currently B. Sywulka works as a Business Development Manager of a Mutinational company with more than thirty thousand employees. It works to support the development of new business and innovation in the corporation.
